About the Education Program
Children and youth are full of creative energy and a deep craving to learn about their cultures. Taller’s culturally specific arts programs fulfill this desire, keeping them engaged and excited, boosting self-esteem and artistic and academic achievement. When young people are encouraged to believe they are significant, talented, unique, necessary, and heard, this positive assurance impacts the entire community.
Taller's out of school time arts programs provide art classes led by experienced teaching artists in various culturally-relevant disciplines that help develop self-esteem, self-expression, and creativity, while also providing academic support. Our programs are geared toward and divided into three age groups: 5-10, 11-14, and 15-18. More information about each program is available at the links above. For ages 5-14, click CEP (above), and for 15-18, click YAP (above).
