Starts after July 4th and runs for six weeks to mid-August
Monday through Friday, 8 am – 3 pm
Summer Camp is an all-day, six-week summer camp for children ages 7–15 that offers bilingual visual and performing arts programming with a Puerto Rican/Latino focus. Each summer session focuses on particular themes relating to Latino culture, like the fiestas and traditional celebrations that make us unique and proud to be Latinos.
Each day, kids spend the morning in art classes, including ceramics, drawing and painting, theater, and dance, all taught by experienced and caring teaching artists. In the afternoons, they participate in fun recreational activities, like water wars.
Campers receive breakfast, snacks, and boxed lunches supplemented by freshly cooked nutritious foods prepared by our Latino food specialist.
At the end of the summer, we host performances and present children’s work for parents and supporters to enjoy.
Our affordable summer camp runs for six-weeks starting the day after July 4th, from Monday through Friday, 8 am–3 pm. Aftercare is available until 5:30 pm for an additional fee. Fees are on a sliding scale and assessed by need. Funding for low-income families is available.
Camp takes place in El Corazón Cultural Center, 2600 N. 5th Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19133.
