This exhibition honors the memory of Carlos Pascual, Taller’s Youth Artist Program Coordinator and instructor, until his passing in January 2015. Pascual was an acclaimed Argentine wildlife and nature artist and a teacher and mentor to countless youths. He was passionate about the sanctity of animals that he portrayed in meticulous colored-pencil drawings. To his students, Pascual was a staunch advocate who inspired them and always believed in their abilities to succeed. As an artist, teacher, friend and member of Philadelphia’s Latino community, he has left an indelible impression that will not be forgotten. Carlos Pascual had a degree in Graphic Design from the School of Arts Lino Enea Spilimbergo, Argentina. Carlos had been an art instructor at Taller for the last 13 years where he was the Youth Artist Program Instructor and Coordinator. He has exhibited extensively and received numerous awards and commendations.
