Taller has closed temporarily

Dear all:

As we continue to prioritize the health and safety of our staff, visitors, clients, and community, Taller Puertorriqueño has received additional recommendations about continuing social distancing.  We continue are operating as a virtual workplace since March 17, and as we get better at this will develop ways to stay connected.  Please stay tuned. During this time, Taller’s building and offices remain closed to staff, participants, and guests.

City officials are recommending continuing social distancing positions for another two weeks until April 6th.  As we comply, all events, classes, tours, and rentals scheduled to occur during this period will remain cancelled until further notice.

What we are doing

We will continue to monitor information as it becomes available, and develop, and adjust plans accordingly. We want to ensure that these measures result in a limited impact on our ability to operate and support our constituents. In that respect, we are moving our offerings to digital platforms with online classes, shows, and more.

Thank you for your continued partnership, support, and understanding as we all work to adapt to this unprecedented situation. Most importantly, let us all practice kindness and self-care. Help others who might be at higher risk than you. We will get through this — together.

What is known about Covid 19

While exposure and risk levels are changing daily, it is critical to exercise all precautionary measures being recommended to limit the spread of this virus.  We will continue to monitor the situation closely, using resources such as the CDC, the World Health Organization, and the City of Philadelphia.
