Nelson A. Diaz: Not From Here, Not From There

A man of many titles, Nelson A. Diaz has made a name for himself as a lawyer, a city solicitor, a judge, and a general cousel for the Department of Housing and Urban Development. His autobiography, Not From Here, Not From There, tells the story of the other side of his life; as an outsider, an immigrant,  the son of a single mother, — “a stranger in his own country.” This impassioned recounting of his life tells the story of Puerto Ricans as a people who are not seen as from this country, nor their own.

The event is free and open to the public.  There will be an opportunity for book signing.
