We will honor both our community members\, who have left their legacy–a foundation–and those who continue to build on that legacy to ensure the Latino community in Philadelphia prospers and serves future generations. \n\n\n\nAs host of the 6abc television show “Puerto Rican Panorama” from 1970 to 2018\, as well as co-host of the annual Puerto Rican Day Parade in our city\, Diego was a consistent presence and reminder of the many facets of the Latino community in Philadelphia and environs. However\, as the tertulia will show\, Diego’s expertise included much more than the show\, impressive as that was. Diego was also a journalist\, an educator\, and an author\, among other accomplishments. We lost Diego in 2022\, but his impact is still felt in the community and no doubt will continue to be felt for many years to come. An open mic session will enable Diego’s family and the community at large to share their experiences of how he affected their lives. \n\n\n\nThere will be antojitos to snack on\, a time for networking\, and music to keep us in a festive mood!
