Renowned historian Evelyne Laurent-Perrault will co-facilitate the workshop and provide historical context on the African roots that have shaped Venezuelan identity and diaspora. \n\n\n\nThis year’s program is a unique opportunity to commemorate Juneteenth while honoring the vibrant traditions of San Benito y San Juan Bautista—Afro-Venezuelan celebrations rooted in resistance\, resilience\, and cultural pride.
