Taller reaches over 20,000 people a year with arts-based educational programs and exhibitions that elevate Puerto Rican & Latinx cultural traditions. Taller is pronounced in as many different ways as there are reasons to give. From after-school arts programs to world class exhibitions, we have something for everyone.

Arts Education

Our arts-focused and identity-affirming curriculum empowers children & teens to express their creativity and develop an appreciation for Puerto Rican and Latinx cultural traditions.

Julia de Burgos Bookstore

Our store is the only Spanish/English bookstore in Philadelphia. Featuring books by Latine authors and one-of-a-kind items made by local Latine artists.

Exhibitions

Highlighting the work of contemporary artists, the Lorenzo Homar Gallery is the region’s only exhibition space dedicated to Puerto Rican and Latinx art.

Schomburg Symposium

Now in its 26th year, this event brings scholars together from around the globe to explore the complex relationship of the African diaspora to Latinx culture.
