As we have been prioritizing the health and of our staff, visitors, and community, Taller Puertorriqueño has been operating as a virtual workplace since Tuesday, March 17th. Now that we have moved to an Open with Care Green Phase, Tallerâs building and offices will be open on a limited basis. Please check our website for the most updated information. Please make sure you contact us if you need to meet in person. We plan to reopen gradually when it is safe and the recommendations of public officials allow it.
The gallery is open to the public and will run at a limited capacity from 1 PM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. To guarantee security, safety, and good experience, visits will be carefully regulated.
– Masks must be worn at all times in the building.
– A maximum of five people in the gallery with a duration of 45 minutes for each visit.
– Physical distancing of six feet must also be maintained.
All events scheduled to occur during this period of time will be cancelled or modified, and we will make efforts to have meetings through virtual conferencing.
In the meantime connect to our:
- Free virtual events as they are scheduled.
- Workshops for students
- Explore our Archives
- Peruse our past exhibtions here.
- Check the artwork from our Youth Artists
Taller will continue to monitor information as it becomes available in order to develop and adjust plans accordingly. While exposure and risk levels are changing daily, it is critical to exercise all precautionary measures being recommended to limit the spread of this virus. We will continue to monitor the situation closely, using resources such as the CDC, the World Health Organization and the City of Philadelphia.
Taller will modify plans as things develop or change. We appreciate your continued partnership, support, and understanding as we all work to adapt to this unprecedented situation. Most importantly, letâs all practice kindness and self-care. Help others who might be at greater risk than you. We will get through this â together.
Here are resources to help, including resources available to youth and young adults in Philadelphia:
