In August 2022, following the 2021 – 22 school year and after 10 years of service, Dr. William Hite will transition from his role as Superintendent for the School District of Philadelphia.
The Board of Education is leading the search process, and has rolled out a series of 17 listening sessions â in-person and virtual â in 18 days, where the public is invited to weigh in on what they want to see in the next Superintendent – and weâre hosting one! JOIN US on Friday October 29th as we invite all Philadelphians to provide input on the skills, talent and foresight the next Superintendent needs to bring to the District. Your feedback will be used to inform the job description for the next superintendent.
