Casañas’ exhibition, Call & Response. This groundbreaking exhibition, on view from April 5, 2024, to May 25, 2024, not only revisits some of Casañas’s critical murals but also unveils new work in Taller’s gallery.
About the Artist:
Betsy Z. Casañas, a native of the community surrounding Taller, is a multifaceted force – an activist, teacher, community gardener, painter, and mural artist. Her artistic journey is rooted in the desire to amplify the voices of individuals and communities. With a career spanning across the globe, Casañas has left her indelible mark with over 70 murals, stretching from the streets of Paraguay to the shores of the Caribbean, from the verdant landscapes of Ireland to the bustling cityscape of Dubai, and everywhere in between.
