Come learn some embroidery stitches! RSVP BELOW

Join artist Richie Wilde Lopez for two free community embroidery workshops at Taller Puertorriqueño. This hands-on session invites participants to contribute directly to a collaborative art installation centered on the theme of legacy—what we carry, what we leave behind, and what we hope to be remembered for.

During the workshop, participants will learn a few basic embroidery stitches and use them to stitch a single word onto cloth—something that represents their personal interpretation of legacy. These embroidered words will be collected at the end of the session and included in a larger textile installation currently in progress.

This is a space for thoughtful making, quiet reflection, and connection through craft. All experience levels are welcome.

All materials will be provided. Please note that participants will not keep their finished pieces, as they will become part of the final artwork.

Participation is limited to 20 people per session. Pre-registration is encouraged. Participants must be 14 and up.
