La Lengua del Tambor is a poetic and percussive documentary that traces the rhythmic legacy of Bomba y Plena from the coasts of Loíza, Puerto Rico to the soul of North Philly—through the journey of Afro-Puerto Rican artist Lucas Rivera.
Join us for a film screening followed by a conversation with Lucas Rivera and director Ant M. Rivera, moderated by Evelyne Laurent-Perrault.
Lucas will also be signing copies of his book, My AfroRican State of Soul.
