Taller has closed temporarily

As we prioritize the health and safety of our staff, clients, and community, Taller Puertorriqueño has been operating as a virtual workplace since Tuesday, March 17th.  Taller’s building and offices will be closed to staff, participants and guests ‘till further notice. We plan to reopen when it will be safe and the recommendations of public officials allow it.  We will update you with new instructions if they so require.

All events scheduled to occur during this period of time will be cancelled or postponed, and will make efforts to entertain any meetings by conference call.

We will continue to monitor information as it becomes available in order to develop and adjust plans accordingly.  We want to ensure that these measures result in limited impact on our ability to operate.

While exposure and risk levels are changing daily, it is critical to exercise all precautionary measures being recommended to limit the spread of this virus.  We will continue to monitor the situation closely, using resources such as the CDC, the World Health Organization and the City of Philadelphia.

We will modify our plans as things develop or change and appreciate your continued partnership, support, and understanding as we all work to adapt to this unprecedented situation.  Most importantly, let’s all practice kindness and self-care. Help others who might be at greater risk than you. We will get through this — together.

Here are some resources I have found from others, to help us get through, including resources available to youth and young adults in Philadelphia:
