Taller Puertorriqueño opens new cultural center
State-of-the-art El Corazón Cultural Center opens December 7
11/17/2016, PHILADELPHIA, PA â Taller Puertorriqueño, Inc. (Taller) will cut the ribbon for the El Corazón Cultural Center at 2600 N 5th Street on December 7, 2016, followed by a celebration from 4â6 p.m. in the new building.
The celebration will feature performances by the Puerto Rico-based, Miramar String Quartet, and Philadelphiaâs Familia Rojas. The inaugural exhibit Nuestro Tema: Llamada y Repuesta (Our Theme: Call and Response), is inspired in the tradition of Puerto Ricoâs Bomba music, to stimulate dialogue between the public and the works of art.
