Join us on December 5th for the reception of Mundos paralelos (Parallel Worlds). This powerful exhibition brings together Cuban-born Yoanny Aldaya and Puerto Rican-descended artist Heather Raquel Phillips.
Aldaya’s work, de este lado de la pared, employs photography and performance to explore freedom and identity within political restrictions, blending his life in Havana and Philadelphia. Phillips’ immersive installation, Path to Candyland, is a vibrant, collaborative space for self-care and healing, drawing parallels between personal trauma and the exploitation of Puerto Rico.
