Clay Heals Minds: Community Forum, Tours, & Celebration

Hosted by We Here’s Community Advisory Committee of Kensington residents and Curator of Public Engagement Megan Voeller, Mural Arts celebrates the artists and community members behind We Here at Taller Puertorriqueño.

  • 11a.m. Children’s Book Reading & Activities
  • 12 p.m. Forum Welcome & Lunch, Documentary Preview, Roberto Lugo in dialogue with
    Lemon Andersen, Panel: Arts Access & Mental/Behavioral Health in Kensington
  • 2- 3:30pm Celebration!

After the forum, enjoy clay sculpting activities with Lugo and Nitza Walesca Rosario, a Polaroid photo booth with Daisie Cardona, music, games, refreshments and a tour of Taller’s cultural corridor with Experience Eastern North.

All activities are free and open to the public, registration required, families welcome! Sign up for a community walking tour of the two additional sculptures on September 28th, October 26th or November 16th.
